Lady Jane - The Beginning - Paperback

"How dare you speak to me," Lady Jane Fairfax reminded the handsome stable hand. "You're nothing but a filthy commoner. You must never speak to your betters so freely." William Edwards smiled at the furious daughter of the wealthy Lord Henry Fairfax. "I keep forgetting that we're all equal in God's eyes, but not in England's." Lady Jane stomped her foot in frustration. "You're impossible," she declared, turning on her heels and marching back to the manor. Inspired by a true story, Lady Jane blends wit, danger, and delightful adventures into a captivating historical love story readers won't soon forget.

"Two of the hardest writing disciplines to get right are romance and history. Keeping the historical facts believable and at the same time an interesting and integral part of the story. And romance? Again, it needs to hit the right emotional chords and still be believed by the reader. In 'Lady Jane', M. K. Davenport has accomplished both, turning out a hard to put down novel, melding the romance and the historical era in perfect harmony." - Bob Saenz - Actor, Screenwriter, and movie producer

"I've read romance books for decades. This is the best book I've ever read." - Becky Boyce, Avid Romance Reader

"It has characters to love and hate, a story to thrill, and a nice romance. Lady Jane allowed me to step back in time to an era and locale I knew little about. I loved it!" - Carolyn Steele, award-winning author

M. K. Davenport, a writing duo, began writing romance together when they were dating.
