Rene Kollo is not only one of the mostlegendary Wagner tenors of the 20th century, he alsoopens himself to the so-called lighter muse.Romantic Evening Songs, recorded with the CentralGerman Chamber Orchestra, delights with songs suchas Schubert's I'm Abendrot, An den Mond, Mendelssohn's Nachtlied and Der Mond, as wellas Schumann's Mondnacht and Brahms'Wiegenlied.For Jay Alexander, the collaboration with theorchestra was particularly intense: You are able toimmerse yourself in these songs in a completelydifferent way and embed your voice; it was abeautiful atmosphere. The orchestra interpreted insuch a differentiated and sensitive way - you couldfeel that the musicians also put their heart and soulinto it.
