Abigail Maze is a story about a woman who is trying to find a relative to leave her empire to and to give that person a stone that she has almost lost her life over more than once. She has two great, great grandchildren who have been less then stellar in her opinion. One, a New York conservative, who cares only about money and power; the other, a California bleeding heart liberal who wants to give her money to anyone who needs it. Abigail invites Kenya and Alexander to come to her home in Hungry so she can see for herself if they deserve to be her heir. She is disappointed by both of them, but decides to send then on an adventure to Africa to see if they have what they will need to reign over her empire. In Africa, Kenya and Alexander find that the village viewed their grandmother as bad magic. Abigail had stolen a stone that they had held sacred. A love affair in the heavens had turned bad and one of the lovers had thrown the stones to earth. Abigail, her husband and the two men she loved, had all at one time owned one of the stones. The stones had made Abigail's life extremely painful, exceptionally wonderful and incredibly worthwhile. Could either of her great, great grandchildren handle the power the stone could give them? That was the question she kept asking herself.

Shanna Galluzzo has written many stories over the past twenty years. Her family and friends convinced her to share her stories. She has written seventeen books about families and the joys and sorrows they go through together. She has always loved the fact that she comes form a large Irish and Italian family. She finds so many rich ideas from her family and from watching how other families relate to each other. She is a teacher of history, government, theatre and English in Juneau, Alaska. History has always been fascinating to her because it is full of stories of people: their families, friends and foes and it has given her thousands of ideas for her stories. She enjoyed the success of her first novel: Mattie: An Artist in Venice and has several more books in the works.
