To have hope is to want an outcome that makes your life better in some way. It can help make a difficult present situation more endurable and eventually improve our lives because envisioning a better future motivates you to take the steps to make it happen.

Karmyn hoped for a good marriage, and she hoped for a successful business. But the result was a destroyed marriage and a hatred for the person who made her doubt herself.
