Meet the Pro Bowl left tackle who would try anything once (including canoeing across Lake Erie and serving as state senator) . . .

The junior high school teacher who became totally obsessed with making free throws . . .

The priest who got himself ejected from a baseball game . . .

The soccer hero who won a championship for Cleveland yet played for three teams that folded within three years . . .

The sandlot umpire and trivia whiz who won more than $100,000 by appearing on 195 TV game shows . . .

The bad boy of handball, universally despised for his drinking, cheating, and womanizing . . .

And witness Art Modell's ill-conceived attempt at high culture in Municipal Stadium . . .

"Super Joe" Charboneau's brush with Hollywood . . .

The heyday of amateur baseball in Lakewood, when big games sometimes ended in brawls . . .

The time the Russians and the FBI got involved with the Cleveland Marathon . . . and lots more
