Thank you for taking the time to explore this story. I wrote this book because I once believed that true success was all about climbing the corporate ladder and enjoying everything the world had to offer. Yet, the more I pursued that version of success, the more broken I became. I unexpectedly found myself in the depth of a valley that, from the outside looking in, seemed like success. But really, it was a silent suffering no-one had noticed.
It was in the midst of these valleys that I struggled to believe that Jesus was still with me. It felt like He had abandoned me. But he hadn't. While I desired for Jesus to remove my pain and make my life easier, He longed to use those broken moments for my good. Through this pain, He drew me nearer to Him, reshaped my identity and transformed my view of success.
In the middle of this suffering, I discovered a new way of living, one rooted in surrender rather than striving. I learned that I didn't need to fear the valley. For it is a set apart season in our lives that the Lord has given us to wrestle with the broken places in our hearts.
This book was written for anyone who has pursued the life this world promises, only to find themselves feeling even more lost and broken. It's a testimony of God's goodness and an encouragement to persevere even when all hope seems lost. So remember, no matter what valley you may be walking through, our God is faithful to complete the good work he started in your life. He did it for me and I believe He will do it for you too.
