A multi-talented musician and singer-songwriter, he really came to the wider public perception when Elvis Presley had a huge hit with Reed's 'Guitar Man'. Reed had two Country #1s in the early 1970s. In the mids-70s he turned to a successful acting career before returning to music till the end of his life. Extensive new notes.
