Details: 2014 two CD live archive release. This fifth installment of the GARCIALIVE archival series presents the Jerry Garcia Band's New Year's Eve 1975 performance at the Keystone in Berkeley, California. Flying under the radar, this unannounced/unadvertised performance holds the distinction as the JGB's only performance on New Year's - an occasion typically reserved for the Grateful Dead. This performance also marks the legendary Nicky Hopkins' final performance with the Jerry Garcia. This set features 2 hours of previously unreleased music mastered from original soundboard recordings. Musicians include: John Kahn (Old and in the Way, Maria Muldaur, John Lee Hooker) - bass, Nicky Hopkins (Rolling Stones, the Kinks, the Who, the Beatles) - keyboards, Greg Errico (Sly and the Family Stone, Weather Report, David Bowie) - drums, Mickey Hart (Grateful Dead, Planet Drum) - drums & Special guests (Sets 2 & 3): Bob Weir (Grateful Dead, Ratdog, Kingfish) - guitar & Matthew Kelly (Kingfish, Ratdog) - harmonica.
