Meet Jeff Goodwin. He's a freshman at a small MidWest college where Steakum is the mystery meat in the cafeteria, choosing the wrong seat in class can land you in the middle of the rain forest, and GOD lives in the basement of the Union. No, this isn't fantasy, either; it's 1994.
The school's one-and-only mascot, Scabbie the gnat, has been stolen! Suddenly, college life is thrown upside-down and the freshmen have become the apathetic ones. Struck with a desire to prove himself to his latest love interest, Jeff goes on a life-changing adventure; scaling scoreboards, uncovering a secret society, starting the greatest food-fight in college history, and nabbing the gnat thief. Only his hyper-active imagination, motley crew of friends, and the Greek system can keep him safe. Or can they?
Jeff Goodwin and the Gnat Who Changed My Life is a clean, young-adult, coming-of-age novel set in a time before cell-phones and social media. Jeff's snarky outlook serves as a humorous lens through which to view college life. You'll be sure to laugh out loud at least once.
