Sixteen-year-old Mari (Tomoyo Harada) sought to indulge the dream trip that her late father (Yukihiro Takahashi) had always envisioned for them, and ventured with a tour group to New Caladonia. Her choice to go off on her own and try to address her sense of loss brings her to transformative interactions with sundry locals.
