Jobe wakes in a room with no doors, no windows, and no sense of time.
He doesn't remember how he got there. He doesn't remember his life, his name, or the moment before waking. All he knows is that the room reacts to him. Objects appear and disappear without explanation. Fragments of something familiar linger just beyond reach.
As he begins to move forward, the world around him shifts. Hallways stretch into darkness. Voices echo behind walls. Memories surface-but not all of them belong to him.
Something is watching.
Interim is a psychological descent into the space between moments-the fragile interval where consciousness lingers, memory fractures, and identity begins to dissolve. Told in sparse, haunting prose, it explores grief, awareness, and the quiet terror of being forgotten.
This is not a story about dying.
It is a story about what remains.
