In This Corner of the World

In 1930s Hiroshima, young Suzu (voiced by Rena "Non" Nounen) found her boundless imagination the one escape from the realities of helping her grandparents peddle nori in the streets. The ensuing years find her betrothed to naval clerk Shusaku (Yoshimasa Hosoya), having to help her in-laws survive through the grinding hardships of World War II... and left to face the inevitable devastation of August 1945.
