About the Author
Newbold, Char M.: - Author, speaker, and domestic violence survivor, Dr. Char has been an advocate for women and children for over 15 years. She understands the complexities associated with intimate partner violence and the unique support needed to help women affected by abusive relationships. As a respected speaker, Dr. Char provides domestic violence training and education to secular and faith-based organizations. She also serves as the voice of victims on local panels and committees. Dr. Char has earned a dual doctorate and continues to provide advocacy services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. She is committed to raising up other survivors, caring individuals, and faith-based groups as advocates to ensure no victim has to suffer the effects of abuse alone. In her continued efforts to help others, she has also written a Bible study specifically for victims entitled I'm Not That Woman Anymore: A Journey to Healing from Abuse. The author resides outside St. Louis.
