I Just Want to Be Me is a poetically styled short story, a 36-page picture book, influenced by my mother, who frequently told me that" if we put all our troubles on the table, most of us would take back our own."

I Just Want to Be Me is about a young girl who faces a new chapter in her life. Her family has moved to a new neighborhood, and she will attend her first day at a new school. As she walks alone down a path leading to the school, her fears and anxiety start to take over as she gets drawn into and influenced by the elements surrounding her. Escapism takes over.

Ultimately, she learns that the best person she could be is already there in her heart and uniqueness.

The book serves as a stepping stone for parents and grandparents to teach their children and grandchildren, from five to nine years old, lessons about facing life's challenges.

Rosen, Michael: - Most of my business life has been spent as a V.P. Ad Agency Creative Director. Now I am shifting gears to writing what fills my heart instead of what fills my wallet. I started as a young Art Director who loved words. So, when I was searching for conceptual advertising ideas, I would always start by creating a sales message or headline, which would then excite my visual imagination. My influence was a Madison Avenue Agency President who attended Seminary College where he studied to become a priest. He could speak and read Latin and had a dictionary-like vocabulary. His words could be great weapons or a symphony of music to my ears. Under his tutelage I won almost every advertising award the field offered. They included Clio's, Andy Awards, One Club, and NY Art Director Club Awards. With the advent of the internet, digital communications became king, allowing more efficient ways to reach and influence an audience. At the same time, visual tools became commodities, and the ability to write, influence, and communicate became the measure of my success. After 10 years, I left to operate my ad agency on Long Island. During that time, I became the President of the Long Island Ad Club, and a Marketing / Creativity guest lecturer at Briarcliff College, Stony Brook, and Farmingdale Universities.I now live in TN, where I am devoting my time to writing children's PBs, and one about the crazy amount of famous people born in Brooklyn, NY between 1860-1960.Powers, Linda H.: - "Linda H. Powers founded Powers Design in 1987 - a creative services agency specializing in graphic and web design, print management / brokering and advertising. Since then she has built this woman-owned business to include regional, national and international clients in a wide range of industries. In that time she's worked with publishing industry greats such as Ingram Spark, Book Baby, KDP Amazon, Pearson Education, Houghton Mifflin and Brown Publishing Network among others. For the last few years Linda has focused on book design and production for authors interested in self-publishing their works along with calendar design and production. Books have included grade school textbooks, a dictionary, fictional thrillers, a humorous book for brides-to-be and 45+ children's illustrated books. To view her portfolios, go to: powersdesign.net"Weber, Penny: - Penny Weber is a full time illustrator from Holbrook, New York. She works on photoshop creating illustrations that mimic her background in watercolors and acrylics. She has been lucky enough to illustrate many, many, many children's books. She lives with her husband and two of her three children and as of this writing she is heavily lobbying for a puppy.
