Marie's inspiration to become an author was sparked in 2015 when she was in high school as a senior, and she watched a speech-deaf author publish her book. She was motivated to become an author one day, and her dream came true with her very first book. Marie also understands the plight of people driven to suicide and knows firsthand how harmful it can be for survivors, too. If she had succeeded in ending her life, she would not have had the chance to write and share her story with others.
