Robbins, Karen S.: - Karen Robbins has devoted her life to children as an elementary teacher, Romper Room TV teacher, mother of four sons, award-winning children's author, publisher, poet, speaker, book/toy designer and inventor with a U.S. patent. Karen received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington in Education and Speech. Karen holds a M.Ed from the Univ. of Puget Sound where she was an instructor of "Storytelling and Puppetry and "Creative Arts For The Young Child." Karen is a right brain creative whose passion is creating books and toys for children. Karen has authored seventeen books and has over 300k copies in the world. Her most recent publications are the award-winning books, I Love You More Than Candy Pops, I Can Count and Shoe Print Art Second Edition from her press, Hide and Seek Press. She has been a longtime member of the S.C.B.W.I., Women In Toys, I.B.P.A, A.L.A., and the Authors Guild. Karen lives in Arizona where she continues to create and write for children in support of literacy. She believes all children must learn to read to win at their game of life!Downey, Rachael: - Rachael Downey grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington, and has been an artist in the making since childhood. She graduated with a BFA in visual communication from the Northwest College of Art and Design and has illustrated five other books by Karen S. Robbins. Rachael now lives in a small town in North Central Washington with her husband, two daughters, well watered plants, and a whole host of critters.
