No one person is born bad. Anyone who inflicts harm - physical, emotional, or psychological - have most likely been harmed themselves. The trauma inflicted from any sort of harm affects how one lives their life, especially if the person is unable to forgive the past hurts or the ones how hurt them. While it may be difficult to forgive, it is a necessary step to finding peace.

For years, Debbie Wilmott was affected by the events of a terrible night during her childhood that ended up changing her life, leaving her to carry pain and unforgiveness well into adulthood. It was not until she found God that she learned He loves everyone, even those who hurt her. To find peace and healing, she knew what she had to do: forgive.

How to Forgive: A Healing Path to Peace shares her inspiring story of recovery from past hurts and the healing that forgiveness brought to her life. She reveals how forgiveness is key to overcoming the effects of life after a traumatic event and offers prayers and specific exercises that helped her overcome the residual life challenges she faced after what had happened to her. Her journey is one to inspire others, for while specific details are different, her story could be the story of another - a story of forgiveness.

Debbie Wilmott has been happily married to her husband, Ed, for over thirty years. Both are recently retired and share their home with their two felines, also known as their "Rescue Panther" and "The Fat One." They enjoy going to the beach, hiking, reading, and spending time with their friends and family. God placed on Debbie's heart to share her story and she feels extraordinarily blessed to do so in hopes that her journey helps someone else take steps to forgiveness.
