Martin Stuart-Fox is emeritus professor in the School of History, Philosophy, Religion, and Classics at the University of Queensland. He resides in Melbourne, Australia, and is the author of six books on Laos, including A History of Laos.

Simon Creak is assistant professor of Southeast Asian history at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and is the author of Embodied Nation: Sport, Masculinity, and the Making of Modern Laos.

Martin Rathie is an Australian researcher and teacher who has lived and worked in Laos for almost two decades has authored journal articles and book chapters on Lao history.
