Starley Talbott has been a freelance author for more than fifty years. She has been published in numerous newspapers and magazine throughout the Rocky Mountain region and is the author of twelve books, including three Arcadia Publishing titles: Platte County, Fort Laramie and Cheyenne Frontier Days; and five The History Press titles: Wyoming Airmail Pioneers, A History of the Wyoming Capitol, Wyoming's Friendly Skies, A History Lover's Guide to Cheyenne, Lakeview Cemetery, and Cheyenne's Capitol Avenue Bronze. Starley holds a BS degree from the University of Wyoming and an MS degree from the University of Nevada. Michael E. Kassel serves as the Curator of Collections and the Associate Director of Operations at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum. He is an adjunct professor of history at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He holds a BS degree in historic preservation from Southeast Missouri State University, an Associate of the Arts degree in history from Laramie County Community College and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Wyoming. He is the author of Thunder on high: Cheyenne, Denver and Aviation Supremacy on the Rocky Mountain Front Range and "The United Air Lines Stewardess School in Cheyenne, Wyoming." He is the co-author of Wyoming Air Mail Pioneers, Wyoming's Friendly Skies, A History Lover's Guide to Cheyenne, Lakeview Cemetery and Cheyenne's Capitol Avenue Bronze from The History Press.
