Shanks, Miriam Evonne: - Miriam Evonne Shanks has been passionate about writing since her childhood, six years of them spent in rural Saskatchewan, Canada. Hiking their sixteen acres and spending ample time alone, she learned to entertain herself by writing imaginative poetry and tales. Her themes are simple and meaningful, and she enjoys writing for both children and adults. Miriam lives in the mountains of New Mexico with her husband and dogs. Miriam's current projects include finalizing two more Here Is Where We're Planted books, co-writing and co-producing songs and writing essays.
