Her Lying Eyes - Paperback

Jamison Jackson's marriage into the wealthy, influential Reynolds family seems ideal, but it turns into her worst nightmare. As an investigative reporter with a local paper, she focuses on a corrupt company responsible for a toxic spill, forcing a children's camp to close. Before the story goes to print, she is framed for the murder of her husband's lover. She begins to suspect the two events are connected. She is forced to go on the run to escape the killer who believes the victim has passed on to Jamie a long-kept secret, a secret so explosive, it should stay hidden forever. She must rely on her former lover, a homicide detective, Chris Lagoni. Although their relationship has been over for two years with no hope of a revival, Chris finds it his duty to clear Jamie's name, keep the police at bay, and crack the case. Time is running out and Jamie finds the only one who can keep her safe is her new lover, Brennan McKeever. But long before she falls in love with him, she deceives him into making a choice with permanent consequences. When she is caught in her lie, he must find a way to forgive her before he offers his protection. There are twists and turns along the way in this heart-pounding story of deception, corruption, and true love.
