Help Me Think Through This: Build Courage, Think Differently, and Create What's Next - Paperback

We don't lack ideas. We lack the space and support to act on them. Between expectations, routines, and the pressure to "do it right," creativity gets mislabeled as a talent some people have and others simply don't.

Help Me Think Through This reframes creativity as a mindset of courage: the courage to keep going in a new and different way. Drawing on two decades of experience advising leaders and teams, Mary Messner reveals how conformity quietly creeps into our work and our lives, how self-doubt turns into stalled decisions, and why small, imperfect steps will always beat the pursuit of a perfect plan.

With warmth, humor, and deeply human stories, Mary doesn't just teach, she walks beside you as a guide, a friend, and a steady voice in your corner. Through her practical framework and simple, actionable exercises, she helps you stand firmly on your own circle, loosen the grip of comparison, and take your next brave step forward. For anyone who wants to speak up, lead with confidence, and finally act on what matters most, this book offers a clear, steady path from hesitation to action. Creativity isn't a gift reserved for the few, it's courage available to anyone willing to begin.
