Description
The story is about an orphan girl, Heidi, who is asked to live with her grandfather, a grumpy hermit. As time passes the readers experiences the bond of love that grows between them despite her grandfather's cold-hearted and mean attitude towards her in the beginning. The story takes a turn when this bond is disrupted and Heidi is suddenly taken away from her beloved grandfather to be a playmate for Clara, an invalid young girl who cannot walk.
