Nutman, Kaye: - "Born in Northumberland, England, with moves to Lancashire and back to Northumberland for Teacher Training, (Kaye's first teaching appointment was in the prettily-named pit-village of Shiney Row, during the Miner's Strike). Training for a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed Hons) whilst teaching during the day didn't leave much time or energy for fictional writing, but she always wrote stories for her pupils. After moving to Kent - The Garden of England - she became Deputy Head, and then Acting Head, of a lovely village school, before the birth of her son. A move to Hertfordshire followed, where she used her writing skills and inventiveness part-time in teaching children with Special Educational Needs. Accustomed to moving around, when her husband's career took them across the Big Pond to Melbourne, Australia, it did not seem like such a big deal. However, two years turned to four, then fourteen, and now twenty! Australia is a truly amazing and beautiful place. Kaye enjoyed volunteer work writing biographies for patients in Palliative Care in the Home, and in Day Oncology (The Wig Room) where she developed a real enthusiasm for Headscarves. She wrote her first non fiction book 'Headscarves, Headwraps and More' by popular request, to help those who needed it. Putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) has always been a passion, one that followed her into adulthood from youth, resulting in life as a hybrid writer of fiction and non-fiction books and printable planner pages.
