Hawthorn House - Paperback

Prothero, Jennifer: - Jennifer calls a valley in the San Juan Mountains north of Durango, Colorado, her home. She spends her days writing stories that scratch that relentless itch of why. When she isn't typing frantically, she is tending to her two dogs, who can't seem to decide if they'd rather be in or out, her two cats, who must be loved on nonstop or they cry, and the occasional wandering bear, who ironically, is the least demanding animal in her life. She's known for her love of free writing and breaking any writing rule that doesn't suit her. She thrives in challenging herself. Hawthorn House started as a challenge to herself to do something she'd never done before: brainstorm, plot, and write a novel all in thirty days.Spoiler: She did it!Hawthorn House was imagined, lightly plotted, and drafted in thirty days, although it has taken two years to get ready to release into the world.Hawthorn House is her debut novel and the first in a series. She loves writing in various genres because life is too short to stay inside the lines.
