Description
Details: A pivotal moment in the Hawkwind story, this 1975 LP is their prime-period masterpiece of progressive hard rock; it was during the tour for this LP that Lemmy was fired from the band. Fittingly, the bonus track on all three editions is the B-side that was recorded during the album sessions: Motorhead. For this remastered reissue of Kings of Speed; Warriors; Magnu; Assault and Battery/The Golden Void, and the rest of the original LP, the original stereo master tapes have been utilized for the first time. Expanded edition adds a DVD with a 5.1 surround mix, and the 2 CDs include a new stereo mix plus bonus album-session outtakes and Watchfield Festival Jam; Circles, and I Am the Eye from the 1975 Watchfield Festival (seven of the 13 bonus tracks are previously unreleased). And the ultimate way to experience one of the classic hard-rock albums of the mid-'70s: the super deluxe edition featuring everything in the expanded edition plus a 180-gram vinyl LP cut from the original analog cutting master tapes. And what makes it particularly deluxe is the return of it's legendary packaging: a gatefold album sleeve that unfolds into the shape of a shield! A 48-page booklet, in-store poster reproduction, replica concert ticket (Detroit '75) and promotional postcards complete the super deluxe edition. Atomhenge.
