However, many of us neglect the daily study of God's word. And one cannot live the life of God's will in its fullness without studying Scripture. God can use each and every one of us in mighty ways. Sometimes, He uses tragedies to teach us and to bring us back when we stray. Mitch Emmons is a retired journalist/photojournalist, and also a musician. He has worked in news media, corporate communications and in communications and marketing for higher education - specifically Auburn University in Alabama, from which he retired in 2017. Mitch and his wife, Suz, make their home in the Auburn area. He spends his time these days playing music locally and writing songs, pursuing nature photography, and of course, hiking trails with Hank.
