His career, spanning over five decades, ranges from his beginnings with the German progressive Krautrock band Wallenstein, his collaboration with Klaus Schulze and Manuel Göttsching, the release of his seminal solo album 'Synthesist' (1980, Sky Records) to his great live successes in front of audiences of over 30,000, such as at the Metamorphose Festival 2008 (Japan) or most recently in 2024 at the Plain District Festivals in Beijing and Xi'an (China).
