Roger Grimes can't quit. Not when everything he has been violently working towards is about to unravel. Attorney Willis Sanford, Grimes' employer, tells him there has been a break-in at the office. The only thing taken, files on every case the Vigilante worked. If those files get out every cop and every criminal will know Grimes is the true vigilante. The state prosecutor is about to make a big move on the child trafficking case that made Grimes who he is, but the star witness has disappeared. Now Grimes must dig up the past he so desperately buried to find an old career thief that is dead or hiding.

Making matters worse is a nosey FBI Agent eager to work with the infamous Grimes. The extra help would be nice except there are a lot of bodies Grimes would like to keep buried as he uses all his underworld contacts to find the missing witness.

Now Grimes must navigate the FBI, State Police and all the criminals he has put away as he ties up all the loose ends to finally put his violent past to rest.
