Frances McCullen (Chloë Grace Moretz) is a young woman living in New York City who recently lost her mother. When she finds a purse on the subway and returns it to it's owner-lonely piano teacher Greta Hideg (Isabelle Huppert)-the two form an unexpected friendship.
