She has taught about the planning and design of green infrastructure for various universities. This is her first book for children. She lives with her family in Toronto, Ontario.

KATY DOCKRILL finds inspiration for her art in her family, friends, and the city-within-a-city neighbourhood where she lives. When she isn't drawing, she loves thrifting, morning coffee, and swimming laps--not necessarily in that order. Katy makes Toronto, Ontario her home, where she lives with her small family and their cat.
