Gradiare - Paperback

A fantasy, adventure romance, about a corrupt kingdom and the group that defies the King known as the Gradiare. Pendry is on the run from the King after being accused of murdering a fellow peace office. He stumbles onto Jewel, who is hiding from her past in an attempt to find peace. She leads him to the Gradiare hideout, along the way it is revealed that she was the past Commander of the Gradiare.

Pendry joins the Gradiare, he and Jewel infiltrate the castle to collect information to start the coup. Along the way they find themselves falling for each other. Jewel is injured during the mission and they only just make it out.

The information they gather helps them start the coup and the Gradiare lodge an attack for the outer ring of the city. They win the outer ring, but Jewel is injured once again. A seemingly fatal wound. She is saved by being a gold vein, and rapidly healing. Pendry is finally able to confess how he feels after he almost lost her.
