About the Author
Amanda Wood was the founding editor and publisher of Templar for more than 30 years. In her time there, she published and nurtured numerous Kate Greenaway Award winners, and edited and wrote groundbreaking series such as The Ologies, which have sold over 19 million copies worldwide. Today she writes and runs her own small press from her home in Surrey, England.
Vikki Chu is a freelance illustrator and pattern designer based in New York. While Chu enjoys experimenting with new techniques and uses Photoshop for post-processing, she regards freehand drawing as the most important and enjoyable part of the illustration process.
Bec Winnel is an accomplished Australian illustrator and artist. Winnel's portraiture combines the illustrative precision of a graphic artist with the sophistication and emotiveness of a painter. The ethereal quality of her work is the result of carefully accreted layers of mixed medium including pastel, pencil, watercolor, metallic, and paper cuts.
