Tanner, Doug: - Coauthor Doug Tanner was born in Brisbane. He lived most of his life in Camp Hill. In 1964, he left home to work in the Queensland Country. In 1968, he joined the Australian Army. Doug did a tour of Vietnam in 1969/ 1970 as an infantry soldier with the 6th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment. He is now retired and is an avid runner and swimmer. One of his joys is photographing the sunrises along the Wynnum/Manly Esplanade, Brisbane Bayside, every morning.Coombes, Heather S.: - Author Heather S. Coombes was born in India. She was educated in NSW, Australia. Her career path followed librarianship and later the ordained Christian ministry, specifically in aged care chaplaincy. Now retired, she lives in the Redlands, Queensland. She is the author of Marathon Wheeler: Living with Physical Disability and The Many Faces of Grief: Pathways to healing.
