Tina is an elementary school teacher with a master's degree in education from Drake University and a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Faith Baptist Bible College. She lives in Iowa with her family. Marta Álvarez Miguéns is a children's book illustrator based in Spain. She won the Blue Spruce, Chickadee, and Beehive awards for illustrating Shark Lady: The Story of How Eugenie Clark Became the Ocean's Most Fearless Scientist.
