ANASTASIA KIERST was born in Wyoming and spent most of her childhood and college years in the Rocky Mountains. In addition to writing and illustrating, she has worked as a graphic designer and a children's art teacher. While teaching, Ms. Kierst enjoyed taking her students outside to create art and play.
