In the early '70s, young director Peter Medak ("Zorro, The Gay Blade") was tapped by Peter Sellers to take the helm of his pirate comedy "Ghost in the Noonday Sun." Between the star's temperament, the redone-on-the-fly script, and production accidents, the shoot proved to be an end-to-end fiasco with a finished product deemed unfit for release by Columbia Pictures.
