Gentle Giant - CD

The album that started it all. Gentle Giant's 1970 self-titled debut album sees an official U.S. pressing on CD for the first time in nearly 40 years. Produced by Tony Visconti and recorded in the summer of 1970, the debut announced a band with no interest in the ordinary. Across seven tracks the group moved between hard rock, chamber music, jazz and medieval counterpoint, with the six members trading off dozens of instruments - guitars, bass, violin, cello, organ, vibraphone, recorder, saxophone, trumpet and more. The record introduced the pieces that would define the band's live sets for a decade, among them Giant, Funny Ways and Nothing At All, alongside Alucard - the track that later gave the band's own label it's name. This edition uses the updated audio from the most recent Alucard reissues of this album. Housed in a digipak.
