Papel, Stanley: - Stan Louis Papel was born on December 17, 1942 in Los Angeles, California. He spent his career of 50 years in the giftware industry creating unique designs with a large national and international distribution. Since retiring, Stan has writing about his family history and the family business. His first book, Tales Beyond Main Street, is the history of the family business started in Disneyland in 1955. Generation to Generation, Third Edition, recounts the story of his ancestors from their European roots to the present. Stanley is the father of three grown children and seven grandchildren. He spends his time in San Diego between a comfortable home in the suburban retirement community of Scripps Ranch and an apartment located in the Banker's Hill area of San Diego.
