From This Shepherd's Heart

We often quote Psalm 23, "The Lord is my Shepherd..." But, what does this mean in our 21st century life? Didn't shepherds live only in Bible times? I mean, really...how many shepherds have you met recently?

David, a shepherd boy, wrote Psalm 23. How does this apply to me? What is a shepherd? A farmer who has a flock of sheep, right?

Not exactly. According to a middle-eastern shepherd, one must have a heart for it. Shepherds love and care for their sheep, day and night. Shepherds guard and protect, in sunshine and thunder storms. Shepherds never desert their sheep...ever.
