In this autobiography, Dr. William T. Watson recounts his fascinating life, from the cotton fields of southcentral Georgia to the nation's capital, and making history in veterinary medicine.

After growing up in segregated Georgia, he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee Institute, and a Master of Science degree in Laboratory Animal Medicine from Ohio State University. Not only a veterinarian, but a decorated military officer, Dr. Watson served in many key assignments in animal care and laboratory medicine. With a military career spanning decades, beginning in Washington D.C. at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, a tour in Vietnam followed, as well as multiple tours throughout the U.S., an overseas tour in Bangkok, Thailand; his military career concluded at the National Institutes of Health.
