From God's House to a Crackhouse: A Recovering Addict's Journey - Paperback

That decision that I had to make was to either drink and drug, or sign up at the YMCA. After the morning house meeting one day, I went upstairs to my apartment. I changed into my workout clothes and put a lot of money in one of my pockets. I walked out the front door of the Aurora building. I looked straight ahead in the direction of the YMCA, maybe 200 yards on the right. I looked to my right, down Wellington Street in the direction of the Brother's Two barroom. I smoked my cigarette. A life or death decision. I had plenty of money in my pocket. Three or four beers and then an eight ball of crack, or.work out. I decided to sign up at the Y.
