Friends & Family Christmas DVD brings home the Hallmark holiday romance about two women whose fathers decide it is time they met.
The setup
A photographer buried in work, a lawyer nursing a break up, and two old college roommates who happen to be their fathers. The women agree to fake it until New Year's to keep the dads quiet.
Then the pretending starts to feel like something else, which is the only direction a story like this was ever going, and the film is comfortable with that.
Synopsis
The holidays were coming in New York, photographer Danielle (Humberly González) was hyper-focused on work, lawyer Amelia (Ali Liebert) was smarting post-breakup... so their old college roomie dads thought it was the time to fix them up. With zero chemistry, they decided to fake it to placate the folks till New Year's... but what happens when the pose sparks genuine feelings? Distinctive Hallmark seasonal romance co-stars Gabriela Reynoso, Christopher Shyer, Barclay Hope. 84 min.
