The ordeal sparked his interest in politics, where he learned to navigate the broken Texas public school system and flawed college admissions process. Despite academic setbacks, he built a distinguished political career in Washington, D.C., where he still works today. At age forty-seven, he experienced a spiritual awakening while attending a Catholic Mass with his childhood best friend in Boston, which rekindled his faith. After praying for wisdom for forty years, he realized that his prayer for knowledge had been answered through his daughter's academic and equestrian achievements at the top-rated girls' school in her state. In this memoir, the author shares how generational prayer played a key role in helping him overcome obstacles, including heart issues that he has battled since birth. His goal is to provide a roadmap showing the benefits of accepting Christ as one's Lord and Savior.
