Following In Their Footsteps is a guide into the history of the trails that have been used and loved for hundreds of years.

Discover why and how some of the best-loved trails of the Colorado's Northern Front Range were built: some of them follow ancient Native American routes, others were created for loggers or miners, and some were built to bring tourists to the state of Colorado.

Learn about the back-breaking labor involved in creating and maintaining these trails, and the stories of the people who made them, their love for the outdoors, their pursuit of wealth, their dreams, and their failures. Filled with tales of murder, innovative ideas, and daring deeds, Following In Their Footsteps will give you new appreciation for the trails you love, and new ideas for trails to explore.

With Then and Now photos and maps, and descriptions of today's trails.
