Finding Pieces of Love: Amidst Cancer & Other Storms of Life - Paperback

Peritoneal Cancer, being stranded in impossible situations, loss of loved ones, financial concerns, and just plain fear are just a few of the issues I've experienced in my life so far. But God has been so faithful and provided "pieces of love" for me to hold onto throughout all of the trials. I am a quilter. My first quilt was made in 1968 at the age of 10 but quilting didn't really become a hobby until after college when I started making quilts for family and friends. I began to notice miracles in my life when I was in college and especially from 1984 - 1987 when I served as a missionary teacher in Papua New Guinea. However, it was when I was diagnosed with Primary Peritoneal Cancer in 2003 that I really paid attention to God's miraculous pieces of love. The low survival rate on my type of cancer caused me to focus on God's past gifts because remembering His previous provisions is the key to staying hopeful. Making story quilts, and keeping my own collection of "stones of remembrance," has truly helped me to trust Him through all the trials in my life.
