Fellow Captains (1916) - Paperback

Fellow Captains is a novel written by Sarah Norcliffe Cleghorn and published in 1916. The book tells the story of two women, both captains of their own ships, who meet and fall in love while traveling across the Atlantic. The main characters, Captain Mary and Captain Martha, come from different backgrounds and have different personalities, but they share a passion for sailing and a desire to live life on their own terms. As they navigate their way through storms and challenges at sea, they also navigate their feelings for each other and the societal norms and expectations that threaten to keep them apart. The novel explores themes of love, independence, and the struggle for acceptance in a world that often values conformity over individuality. Through vivid descriptions of life aboard ship and the inner thoughts and emotions of the characters, Cleghorn creates a compelling and timeless story of love and adventure. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
