Punk Ruins - CD

Punk supergroup Fake Names return with Punk Ruins, their third studio album, out October 23 on Epitaph Records. Bringing together five architects of punk and hardcore, Fake Names channel decades of experience into a sound that feels immediate, electric, and entirely their own.Built on the collision of '70s UK punk, classic hardcore, and guitar-driven power-rock, Punk Ruins finds the band pushing their chemistry further than ever-balancing sharp melodic instincts with explosive guitars, driving rhythms, and the restless energy that defines great punk rock. A rare collaboration between five influential musicians whose combined history spans decades of underground and alternative music.THE BANDFake Names features an all-star lineup of punk innovators:Brian Baker - Minor Threat, Bad Religion, Dag NastyMichael Hampton - S.O.A., EmbraceDennis Lyxzen - Refused, INVSN, The (International) Noise ConspiracyJohnny Temple - Girls Against Boys, SoulsideMario Rubalcaba - Rocket From The Crypt, OFF!The group first joined forces in 2016, forming what Brian Baker calls a mutual admiration society. Despite their collective history, the chemistry was immediate-once they were in the same room, it felt like they had been playing together for years. With Punk Ruins, Fake Names continue to build on that foundation, bringing together five distinct musical histories without becoming defined by any one of them. The result is a record that connects the raw spirit of punk's past with the urgency of the present.
