She is internationally known for her work in the field of education; and served as a NYC English teacher before a distinguished tenure as Dean of the College of New Rochelle's School of New Resources where, under her leadership, more than 10,000 women earned their undergraduate degrees and are now changing lives in their families and communities. Dr. Blake is a graduate of Southern University, Baton Rouge Louisiana; received her master's from North Carolina Central University; her doctorate from Columbia University -Teacher's College; and did post-doctoral work at Harvard University.
