Vijaya Ramadas Mandala is an Assistant Professor at the University of Hyderabad in India. He earned his PhD in History from The University of Manchester in the UK and was awarded the prestigious Dorothy Hodgkin Award from the Research Councils UK, now UKRI. From 2014 to 2016, he worked as a Junior Fellow at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library in New Delhi, India. Vijaya Ramadas is a historian who has published in the field of Indian history and British imperial and commonwealth history, including an acclaimed book, "Shooting a Tiger: Big Game Hunting and Conservation in Colonial India", with OUP.
